Blue Dolphin
With nearly 30 years of experience, we provide one of Queensland’s most comprehensive whale watching tours aboard our comfortable, multi award-winning sailing vessel. We’ll take you straight to where the whales are, giving you the chance to witness incredible behaviours like tail-slapping, breaching, pectoral slapping, and spy-hopping. These awe-inspiring encounters bring you up close to these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat—an unforgettable experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Swim & Watch
Hervey Bay Dive Centre offers the region’s only dedicated whale swim experience during the humpback whale season, from July to October.
Led by a passionate and professional PADI Dive Team, they are committed to giving you the experience of a lifetime.
The swim takes place using a 20-metre mermaid line attached to the stern of the vessel, allowing for a safe and unforgettable encounter with these gentle giants.

Tasman Venture

Afternoon: 1:30pm – 5:30pm
Tasman Venture’s half-day whale watch tours depart twice daily from Hervey Bay Marina. Offers morning or afternoon tea.
Enjoy a scenic cruise along the pristine western side of Fraser Island aboard a fast, luxurious catamaran—getting you to the whales quicker for more time in Australia’s ultimate humpback playground.

Join us aboard the Amaroo, a 20-metre purpose-built whale watching catamaran featuring three viewing decks and all the comforts for a great day at sea.
Our experienced local crew is passionate about whales and will share expert insights into their behaviour and the history of Hervey Bay.

Cruise at a swift 22 knots—less time traveling, more time up close with Hervey Bay’s playful, active whales.

Quick Cat II

Quick Cat II is one of Hervey Bay’s most iconic vessels, originally built and operated by the region’s first whale watching family.
Purpose-built for whale watching and award-winning, Quick Cat II is one of the few vessels in the fleet that’s fully accessible for wheelchairs and prams.
With amphitheatre seating, multiple viewing decks, low passenger numbers (maximum 80), a fully licensed bar, and complimentary morning or afternoon tea, the tour offers a comfortable and intimate experience—delivered with exceptional service from a friendly, experienced local crew.
