K'Gari (Fraser Island) Tours
Available all year round
K’gari, meaning ‘paradise’ in the language of the Butchulla people, the land’s traditional owners, lives up to its name in every way.
Spanning 123 kilometers along Queensland’s southern coast and reaching 22 kilometers at its widest point, K’gari (formerly Fraser Island) holds the title of the world’s largest sand island. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is celebrated for its exceptional ecological and biological processes, as well as its breathtaking natural beauty. This ever-evolving landscape offers visitors a truly immersive, back-to-nature experience.
The island’s diverse and pristine environment features ancient dune systems, some towering up to 240 meters above sea level, along with more than 100 freshwater lakes—including 40 perched dune lakes, the highest concentration of its kind in the world. Among these is the famous Lake McKenzie, known for its crystal-clear waters. K’gari’s unique ecosystem also supports an incredible variety of plant life, from coastal heathlands and wetlands to lush subtropical rainforests. Remarkably, it is the only place on Earth where tall rainforests thrive on sand dunes at elevations exceeding 200 meters.
We offer a variety of tour options, from fully guided experiences to exciting tag-along adventures. Book your perfect tour with us today!
